Last week, Wall Street Journal published an article where it is not only mentioned that Bobby Kick, CEO of Activision Blizzard, was conscious about the cases of harassment and discrimination within the company, but he himself was also one of the aggressors. Given this, some companies like Microsoft and Sony had something to say about it, and now it is Nintendo who has issued an own response.
Dog Bowler, Current President of Nintendo of America, sent an email addressed to all the employees of the company, as well as some of his studies first-party, where he is talked about the alarming Situation that is living Activision Blizzard.
Along with all of you, I have also been aware of the recent events within Activision Blizzard as well as the constant reports of sexual harassment and toxicity within the company. I think these events are worrisome and alarming. They are contrary to my values as well as the Beliefs, Values and Policies of Nintendo.
BOWLER Continues saying that Nintendo is committed to having a transparent and inclusive workspace, where all people are welcome, and he expects his business partners to also follow this same ethical line. Without entering many details, the executive also mentions that the Great N has been in contact with Activision, plus they have taken letters in the matter and are advising others.
Editor's note: Things have definitely come out of control for the people of Activision Blizzard, and it seems that the only departure at the moment is that the Board of Directors also requires the waiver of Kick, who recently said he would be willing to do so if he is not able to correct the situation.
