A couple of weeks ago the production pause of season three of The Witcher for Netflix was reported, this was due to the fact that the protagonist of the series, Henry Cavill, tested positive for COVID-19. However, the bad drink has already passed for the main actor, so officially the recordings have been resumed to have an approximate premiere in 2023 .
It is worth mentioning that this return was little by little so as not to put the actor at risk, so it is only being requested for scenes that significantly request the presence of it. Cavill had to be totally isolated from all over the world, but in the end he managed to recover to continue with the history of Geralt de Rivia that gradually captivates more fans.
This week, the director BOLA OGU N, who directs the last two episodes of the season, continued with her scenes that represent Ciri in the Korath desert , but this time in Longcross Studios *, with decorations covered with sand and surrounded by green screen. This part has been taken directly from the original book, thus being a faithful adaptation.
Scenes were also filmed outside the study, in the National Nature Reserve Castle Bottom in Surrey . It is another site, where The Witcher can represent the scenes with the forest stigma of The Continent . Even so, much of the material is recorded in the study, since green screens are required to reflect spells and magical creatures.
The Witcher Season 3 will premiere at some point of 2023 .
